Hello

Hey everyone! As many of you know, I am going to be studying in Madrid for one year. I got a scholarship through the Santander Bank, Spain's most important private bank (http://www.euroresidentes.com/Property/spanish_banks/santander.htm).  The scholarship functions as an exchange program and funds 10 students from the US, who are studying to be Spanish teachers, to study Spanish and education at 1 of 4 Universities in Spain.  In return, 10 Spanish students studying to be English teachers will have the opportunity to study English and education at 1 of 4 different schools in NY for one year.  This is the first year that this scholarship has existed and I will be studying at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid for the 2010/2011 academic year.

I'm leaving in 2 weeks and everything is really starting to sink in...
