Madrid 2010-2011

I went on another trip with Erasmus Oct 22nd through the 24th to Segovia, Salamanca and Ávila. They are located NW of Madrid.

The first stop on our 3 day trip was Segovia. In Segovia we visited ancient Roman aqueducts, a Cathedral and a castle:

Inside the cathedral

My lunch, it was a 3 course meal and this was the appetizer. It is soup with beans and pork on the left. I don't know what the other one was.

Pork. It was ok but is had a lot of fat on it that I picked off. The skin was really hard and gross so I picked that off too.

dessert. I really wish I could remember what it was called. It was some sort of moose. it was really really good and was citrus flavored.

The inside of Casa de las Conchas, which is a library by day and a club by night. Only in Spain...

Universidad de Salamanca. Here on this building there is something hidden. Everyone who comes to look at this building tried to find a hidden frog. I couldn't find it but someone showed me it later

we had to find 2 more hidden carvings on the cathedral. One was the devil eating an ice cream cone.

The other was an astronaut. He is missing an arm and I don't know why.

The following are pictures of the inside of the cathedral. we even climbed up to the top of one of the towers of the New Cathedral

there was a wedding going on in the cathedral but they still let us tour it. Can you imagine having a wedding there? it si so pretty but its probly normal to them.
